Meet Fei, AWE’s newest intern
My name is Fei, and I use they/them pronouns. I am a queer, first-generation Chinese Canadian immigrant. I’m currently attending the University of Windsor in Communications, Media, and Film with a minor in Political Science.
In my university career, I’ve been extremely grateful to release a pronoun guide with the Provost for everyone on campus. I’ve collaborated with multiple queer constituents across the city, and we were able to have a comprehensive round-table video produced! This is my proudest achievement in my life, as I was able to contribute to queer understanding and liberation on a grassroots level.
In my free time, I enjoy the outdoors (like hiking, camping, etc), thrift shopping for vintage clothing, and I love to read. I also teach fitness classes at the Toldo Lancer Centre, and intern for Windsor Law as well.
For this summer, I’ve been graced with the opportunity to become a marketing and engagement intern at AWE! So far, it’s been an amazing journey navigating workshops, connecting with community members, and having fun (especially with the school tours). I’m excited to be challenged with writing articles, as well as curating my writing voice this coming summer.
